Marrakech

Marrakech is a word of the Berber language meaning something like "The land of God". Due to the multitude of architecturally important buildings, amongst others the Koutoubia Mosque from the year 1162, the Kasbah from the12th  century and the Ben-Jusuf-Medersa from the 14th century, the Medina (Old Town) together with the Agdal and Menara Gardens were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
